TSTS (TAKUYA SASAKI TEST SAMPLES) is a brand by designer Takuya Sasaki and patterner Yurie Isashi.

Designer Takuya Sasaki is a graduate of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp, where he studied under Walter Van Beirendonck, the president of the academy.

Since returning to Japan in 2016, she has worked for several collection brands, including an internship at sacai and the launch of a brand with her friend TAIGA TAKAHASHI, before launching TSTS in 2023.

Pattern designer Isashi worked as a corporate pattern maker before moving to Antwerp to assist Sasaki in the production of his collections.

While there, he worked for a professor and modelist at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp.

After returning to Japan, he worked as a men's patterner at kolor, and later launched his own brand with Sasaki.

The brand name “Test Samples” is derived from “Experimental Test Sample” products, which were developed and tested before being officially issued to soldiers, and refers to TSTS's pioneering approach to clothing production.

The brand concept is “duality

With a background of experience in Tokyo and Antwerp, TSTS develops collections with a sense of humor and social commentary, mixing the surrealistic atmosphere of Antwerp with the daily life of Tokyo.

TSTS（ティーエスティーエス / TAKUYA SASAKI TEST SAMPLES）は、デザイナー佐々木拓也とパタンナーの井指友里恵によるブランド

デザイナーの佐々木はアントワープ王立芸術アカデミー出身で、学長Walter Van Beirendonck らに師事してきた

2016 年の帰国以降はsacaiでのインターンシップ、友人TAIGA TAKAHASHIとのブランド立ち上げなど複数のコレクションブランド勤務を経験し、2023年にTSTSを立ち上げた

パタンナーの井指は企業パタンナーを務めたのち、アントワープに渡り佐々木のコレクション製作アシスタントを行う

その傍ら、アントワープ王立芸術アカデミーの教授兼モデリストの元で勤務

帰国後はkolorでメンズパタンナーを務め、その後、佐々木と共にブランドを立ち上げた

ブランド名の "Test Samples" とは、兵士への正式支給前に試験的に開発・テスト使用されていた "Experimental Test Sample" 製品に由来しており、TSTSの先駆的な服作りの姿勢を意味している

ブランドコンセプトは「二面性」

東京とアントワープで経験を積んだ経歴から、東京的な日常性の中にアントワープ的なシュールレアリスティックな空気感を織り交ぜた、ユーモアと社会批評性をもったコレクションを展開する
