We will comprehensively introduce the work of Daniel Lee, whom we most admire among contemporary fashion designers.Starting with his first collection during his time at BOTTEGA VENETA, we will select and propose items from both the men's and women's collections, but there will be no lineup of best-selling items such as the parakeet green that took the world by storm at the time, the iconic shoes that anyone could easily buy, or the bags designed to satisfy the desire for approval.Why was Daniel Lee, who was still unknown and had no track record, chosen as the designer for BOTTEGA VENETA? His talent and the excellent presentation he gave to the fashion house are embodied in his designs.These are timeless masterpieces that transcend passing trends, pieces you'll want to keep in your wardrobe even after he leaves the fashion house.It's unclear who they were even intended for.A whimsical proposal dreaming of fashion and consumers.Everything I choose falls into one of these three categories.Daniel Lee loves vintage design,especially within the context of fashion history.Though we're the same generation, seeing the clothes he creates made it immediately clear we share the same visual references.For this project, I hope you'll also notice the affinity between his inspirations and the designer vintage pieces fernweh and KALMA have curated over the years.
