The first work to be released by Masato Aoki, designer of MST PAACS, under the name MST OBJECTS.
This is Umbrella Stand.
Some products in the world, including umbrella stands, tend to be difficult to evaluate unless they are designed from a rationalistic and functionalist viewpoint, but this work deviates greatly from that trend.
The cube has a structure in which only one umbrella is inserted like a vase for a single flower, and the entire surface of the cube, including the bottom, is mirrored.
It seems to ask us how we can love waste.
It is also interesting to use a single piece by cutting down the number of umbrellas you have on hand, or to combine multiple pieces like a puzzle according to the number of umbrellas you have on hand.
This work is both a product and an art piece, with the structure created by digifabrication technology that makes full use of 3D printers, just like kneading clay digitally, and then handmade by the designer himself as a one-of-a-kind piece of art.
The stamen and pistil, the wet umbrella and single flower vase, the full surface mirroring itself.
This work is designed with sexuality and eroticism in mind.

アンブレラ・スタンド
世の中にある傘立てを含むいくつかのプロダクトは如何に合理主義的、機能主義的な観点でデザインを落とし込むかでなければ評価対象になり辛い傾向であるが、本作はその潮流からは大きく外れている
まるで花瓶の一輪挿しの様に傘を一本だけ差し込む構造で立方体は底面を含む全面が鏡貼りになっている
如何に無駄を愛せるのかを私たちに問いかけてくるようだ
手持ちの傘を削ぎ落として一個使いするのもいいし、傘の数に合わせてパズルのように複数個を組み合わせていくのも面白い
本作はデジタル上で粘土を練るように3Dプリンターを駆使したデジファブ技術によって構造体を作り出し、その後はデザイナー自身のハンドメイドによって一点物として作り出されているプロダクトでありアートピースでもある
おしべとめしべ、濡れた傘と一輪挿し、自らを映し出す全面の鏡張り
本作はセクシャルやエロティシズムにおいてデザインされていることがわかるだろう
